- GUILFORD COUNTY has two courthouses in Greensboro and High Point.
- Check your ticket to see the courthouse in which you are scheduled.
Cell Phones are no longer allowed in the courthouse
- There is a locker-style lock box available for rent by the entrance to the courthouse.
- It is best to leave your cell phone in the car or in another safe location.
Going through Security
- You are required to empty your pockets and take off your belt. Also, you will be required to pass through a metal detector and to have any bags scanned. Please leave everything that you don’t need in the car as it will help you to get processed into the courthouse more quickly.
- Plan on being at the courthouse at least 20 to 30 minutes before the start of your court date. Lines for security can be lengthy in the mornings due to the high volume of people coming into the courthouse at the same time.
TYPICAL START TIMES
- District Courts start at 8:30 am
- Superior Courts start at 10:00 am on Mondays, then will start at 9:30 am Tuesday-Friday
- Juvenile Court starts at 9:00 am

- Rate for the parking deck: no charge if under an hour, then $0.75 and hour for each additional hour.
Greensboro will accept cash or debit cards.
- Two metered parking lots next to the courthouse.
- Some metered street parallel parking as well.

- 1D: District Court for driving offenses like Driving While License Revoked and Driving While Impaired.

- 2D: Juvenile Delinquency Court
- 3C: Superior Court for Criminal Cases
